Don't Waste Your MoneyThe FIRST scale I received was defunct (it never calibrated), so the company sent me another (after several conversations about how/why it didn't work).The second scale reports inaccurate weights. I weighed myself last night and then again this morning and there was a TWENTY pound discrepancy. I have no idea why. I've adjusted the batteries, etc.Very disappointed. 1Weigh your choices carefully!!!I had the all glass scale like this which was very cool till I picked it up and lit slipped from my hand and hit the side of the tub. It broke into twelve billion pieces. It was shatter type glass so there was no problem with possible cuts. SO, needless to say, I bought a stainless steel Taylor scale which is also very cool, almost. 5BEWARE: THIS SCALE SUCKS.This scale is far from exact. It fluctuates up to five pounds when I weigh myself back to back. I tried to return it by the return date, but the return option had been removed. If you want accuracy, do better research than I did and find another brand! 1Functions WellThe only thing we would have liked added is the information that the scale must be placed on a totally hard surface to work well. This means every time we want to weigh ourselves, we must move the scale and "prime" it. That's an easy job, however. The digital readout is large enough for us "70-something's" to read from a standing position; and I love the inclusion of percentages of pounds past the primary weight. 5Manufacturer does not honor warrantyBroke after 5 months of use by 1 person. Manufacturer does NOT honor guarantee. First they said they needed pictures & would replace it. After spending a lot of time, etc., I sent them 4 pictures & copy of Amazon's pruchase receipt, etc. Then they said they would not replace the scale. Just a waste of $20! 1Wish I could returnThis scale only works some of the time. When I first got it, it wouldn't display my weight at all. It would light up, but never display an actual weight.The light/display on this also goes out very quickly. You only have about three seconds to view it and then it shuts off.The biggest pain for me is this scale does not seem accurate. Literally every time I step on it within a few seconds apart, I get a different reading. So...I guess it's kind of useless? 1No squinting at tiny painted black lines and variability upon reweigh. This scale is precise, consistent and accurate.Instantly calibrated, agrees with my old dial scale which agrees with my doctor's scale after a month of joint testing. Weigh and drink a bottled water and re-weigh. You'll see the difference. 16 oz water will reflect in the scale's reading. Because this scale is so precise, you must pick a consistent time of day to weigh for the reason above. First thing in the morning is best or you may be mislead because it is so precise. Exellent product. Highly recommend. 5GLASS WITH a STAINLESS STEEL VENEER, But High Quality Bright BACKLIT LCD DisplayI was expecting a Metal Based BATHROOM SCALE, but was surprised to find this scale is made of a 1/4" GLASS with a VENEER layer of STAINLESS STEEL on it. I felt more relieved to be able to stand on a veneer of Stainless Steel than a plain piece of Glass. So all in all I was happy with the surprise. I was just hoping for an accurate and Bright Back Lit LCD so I could easily see the numbers for my weight. THIS was the Best I have seen for Bright and Large Number BACKLIT LCD Displays yet.Opened the box, pulled the plastic tab on the back of the scale, and the batteries were now functioning. I set the scale down on hardwood floor and got an accurate reading, tried again, and it was off by a pound or two. For my need this is close enough accuracy. I tried it on a carpet, and wow, not even close. * Definately you want this on a hard solid surface all the time, NO CARPET USE from my experience.Batteries are [Pre-Installed] TWO: CR2032 Three volt DC coin cells, available here on Amazon as needed. These should last a while, as the scale will auto turn off when you get off of it. This scale is ready to use right out of the box. Just remember to pull the plastic tab on the bottom corner to have batteries set to work.The ultimate thing is the Big 1 1/2" x 3" BACKLIT LCD DISPLAY. WOW. I love it. So easy to read and bright. 5 Stars for the Display!!The Scale has 4 rubber feet on bottom and sets firmly on floor. The Stainless steel is very smooth, and does show fingerprints. I would be nervous to stand on it with wet bare feet, so you may want to put on a pair of slippers first.All in all this is a winner for me, the giant BRIGHT LCD Display is the selling point especially for us 'over forty' folks.There is no On/Off switch on this scale, it all works by itself when you stand on it, it reads your weight, and when you get off of it, it automatically goes OFF. Easy to use, and built solid. 5Good scale to buy.We bought another scale before this one with another company, and the previous one was not as good. My husband and I decided to buy this one and it is good material and the blue light illuminates so you can see the numbers better. It has been one of the better scales we have bought. 4Good quality scale, same accuracy as the scale at my doctor's officeI ordered this scale to help with my weight-loss journey. I weighed 185 lbs. in high school, ballooned up to almost 300 lbs, and now weigh 215 lbs.If you are reading this review you are probably trying to wade through the endless amounts of weight scales available online and in various retailers. I was initially concerned with the price of this scale because there are many other scales around this price range than have been reported to stop working after a few months. I'm the kind of shopper that is willing to pay MORE for a quality product. I decided to try this scale, and have to say I am pleased with the product.Price-------------------------------I think $30~ is a fair price for this scale, if anything, it could be slightly more expensive.Quality/features------------------------------1. The stainless steel looks good to me, no complaints here.2. The digital screen is very easy to read with the black on blue background.3. I have size 13 feet and can still fit on the scale.4. auto shutoff feature is niceAccuracy------------------------I honestly doubted that any scale at this price point would be accurate. To test the accuracy, I weighed myself at my doctor's office with one of their "professional" scales and immediately weighed myself when I returned home. The difference was only about 1-2 tenths of a pound (.1 or .2). Personally, I find this variance acceptable and I'm pleasantly surprised with this accuracy.I purchased this scale in September 2016 and it is still working great in December 2016! I will update my review if any problems arise. 5
