Worked great for a bit, but then got worn out and any progress just halted.I've been wearing this for over a month now, prompted by back pains that woke me up in my sleep, months after wearing a shoulder only posture brace, and it worked great initially, but soon after that, the material got weak and the front part just starts rolling up over itself and around my stomach, never keeping shape or firm to my stomach. I'm ordering a new one with a different style (the ones with the cross straps in the back) because I feel like any progress I made with this style just plateau'd, and I'm not getting better with it. 3I like the way the product feels and i feel it ...I order this product and got it monday wore it tiesday the 26 and then wednesday the 27 and when i got home inrealize that it is ripping under the arm. I like the way the product feels and i feel it is working but another day wearing it will cause it to rip some more. Would like it replaced 2Works. Aligned spine takes away pressure provides supportGot this in the mailbox 3 hours ago and it s amazing... about having it on for an hour it took all the pressure off my back and neck aligning my posture correctly. I was about to adjustment my cervcal and thoracic veterbrae fully.Being 6 4 with a long torso, over the years I have had to duck with a lot of things that resulted in bad posture including anterior pelvic tilt, rolled shoulders and forward head tilt. It affects you way more than just physically. Got so tired of seeing photos of me with bad posture.This brace has helped me correct it with maintaining proper posture. It s much more comfortable than other braces, however, you are wearing a brace. It does rub your arm pits a little but it doesn t bother me.Thankfully it s winter time and with a hoodie on, you don t notice your wearing it. 5Good sleep, exerciseThere's a lot of things that you should be doing to reduce back pain. Good sleep, exercise, stretching, diet....that's all well and good but for some of us we are still sitting 10+ hours everyday for work. Nothing ventured nothing gained, I ordered the brace to see if it could help reduce my back pain. Does it work though?In short, yes It took about 2 weeks for me to notice an improvement.If this is correcting poor posture, what causes it? I knew before ordering that I wasn't in peak physical shape and that diet and exercise would probably reduce if not eliminate the pain. But I'm still doing a sitting marathon everyday at work. Sitting for that long has be hard on the body regardless of how fit you are. In my opinion if you are sitting for 8-10+ hours a day, even if you are in excellent shape, you can still benefit from a back brace like this. Again, just my opinion. I'm not a medical professional, just making observations based on experience and my own research.My only complaint, which I think is worth knocking off a star for, is the sizes. I am just over 190 and got the XL...it's a bit too large. Please make a size inbetween L and XL..maybe between 170 and 200? 4I've had back surgery & a real back support system but this...Summary - nothing more than some velcro straps attached to fabric. it is NOT effective, it provides no support. for more details read on...before purchasing this i checked out numerous pages of this type item on amazon, there are a lot to choose from. i needed something more than all those others that which as shown were nothing more than fabric, velcro and elastic straps. i wrongly thought based on the images shown this had some sort of semi rigid or rigid parts within so it could actually do what was intended to do. what i received in the mail was not at all what i expected.it arrived in a small padded envelope maybe 10" x 10". i opened it and a good portion of that envelope was used to stuff documents and a thick exercise booklet? after that all that remained was a small bundle of straps and cloth nothing substantial whatsoever. i gave it a try nonetheless.you are supposed to tighten the lower horizontal strap around your lower abdomen. you have to tighten down so much it is uncomfortable but the worst part of that process is that once you begin to move it begins to ride up. no matter how tight it does not stay in place. as it rides up the upper straps, meant to apply pressure and pull you back towards a more upright position, lose tension and stop working. but as said there is nothing here but cloth, straps and velcro.so all said unless you plan to super glue this thing to your body it will not stay in place. it will NOT and does NOT work as intended. this is no different than all those others sold here that range from ten bucks on up. why this has an 'amazon's best' attached is beyond me.*try a kids or college students backpack loaded up with books. going that route would do a better job with just straps and gravity than this thing. a bit of sarcasm but hopefully point made. 1Good system and has shown results after just a few days of use. I would have left 4.5 stars given the chanceThis is a good support system for a very reasonable price.. I injured my lower back (resulting in surgery) five months before buying this posture corrector. All my life I had less than optimal posture where I would hunch forward. This likely contributed to the overall weakness in my lower back and now results in lower back pain when I hunch forward for even short amounts of time. The product forces me to keep my back straight and shoulders back. resulting in me both sitting and standing straighter, even when not wearing the product. It really helps the lower back pain that results from sitting or standing with my upper body hunched forward.Pros:- Relatively comfortable and can be worn for longer and longer without undue fatigue- The adjustable shoulder straps help you find the right amount of tension to keep your shoulders back- Lightweight and easily work under t-shirts or dress shirts without anyone seeing externallyOpportunities for Improvement:- The velcro loop patches on the waist belt could be better positioned and layered. I bought an XL size (I'm 6'1" tall, 215lbs and have a 35" waist) and it is a little big for my waist, requiring me to tighten it beyond the available velcro loop. The waist belt is a wide main belt with reinforcing straps on each side. The outer side of the main belt has a 6" swath of velcro loop, about 1.5" of space, and another 1" swath of velcro loop. The inner tip of the right side has about 2" of velcro hook. It would be better if there was simply a single swath of velcro loop that extended a few inches from where the 1" loop patch currently sits. This would allow me to tighten the main belt and put less strain on the reinforcing straps.Regardless, If something happened to the belt I have, I'd buy another one of these. 4Finally a posture support that works!After wearing the posture corrector for 3 days I have already noticed a difference in my posture. The first day I used the posture corrector I did not read the instruction. I was using the posture corrector for long hours and I begin to feel lots of discomforts. I later found out in the instructions that it was not recommended to use it for long hours (like I did) but instead in incremental lengths of time. For starters 30-60 mins at a time. Although I still felt a small amount of discomfort (nowhere near the discomfort I had in the beginning). I did notice a big difference in my posture. The instructions states that the discomfort comes from something like the muscle not use to the more upright and correct posture but with time it will begin to improve. I see it as "No pain no gain" type of thing. My only complaint is that I would like to have seen the posture corrector in a dark blue as this would match most of the cloth I have now. 5It helps you help yourselfI had lower back surgery and not only needed a correction of my posture but also support for my lower back. That s why I chose this posture corrector versus others which only have shoulder straps.So far I love it! Yes, other reviews are right, it has a rubbery smell for about half a day, when it comes right out of the package. But leave it out for a few hours and the smell in gone. I cannot confirm though, that the material makes you feel hot.It is important to order the right size, then you can adjust the Posture Corrector in every possible way. It pulls your shoulders back slightly to remind you to stand or sit straight, it also supports the lower back, but all in a very comfortable way. I would say, it helps you help yourself.I also like that little booklet which comes with it. There you find a series of exercises to further improve your posture and back health.The Posture Corrector can easily be worn under your tops and doesn t show more or less than a bra. It is comfortable enough to be worn all day, but in the first beginning you shouldn t wear it longer than recommended, so the muscles in your back don t start to hurt. Once the back and the muscles are used to your new healthy posture you can wear the Posture Corrector all day long.I know I will! I highly recommend this Posture Corrector! 5Just a gentle reminder....Received my Flexguard Support back brace in a timely manner. Please allow me to address a few of the reviews I read before making my purchase.1) "It had a rubbery smell." Of course it does. A brand new neoprene product should have a "rubbery smell." IT'S NEW. If it didn't smell, I'd suspect I'd received a returned item.2) "It's uncomfortable." Actually, it's not uncomfortable. Adjust the straps and waist belt correctly, then sit and/or stand using correct posture and you'll hardly notice it's there. The most likely reason I can think of for the brace to be uncomfortable is that the wearer is still using poor posture. The brace isn't magic. It can't correct years of poor posture simply by putting it on. The wearer must supply the effort needed to correct their own posture. As soft and pliable as the brace is, it can only be a gentle reminder of correction needed.Now, as far as my own usage is concerned. My only comment, and reason for the 4 vs 5 star rating, is that it would have been better (for me, at least) if the belt portion was wider.That's it. I'm a happy customer.Thank you. (And no, I was NOT compensated for this review.) 4Brace is either mis packaged by size or not designed wellAlthough the XL size is listed at fitting 36-42 inch waist size, the one I recieved in an XL large bag makes me wonder if it is actually a smaller size in the wrong bag.First; with the upper straps adjusted to to longest possible adjustment, the lower back band fits about 8-10 inches above my belt line. Maybe 6 inches below my armpits ,in the middle of my back.Second: When I measure the total length of the lower band, the largest waist that it could possibly fit would be 34-36 inches, no where near the 42 inch maximum.I like the basic design, it is a better design than another brand that I have, yours would be easier to use and its better quality.If I have to I will just keep it and modify the length of the upper straps, (add 6-8 inches to the length each) and also add 6-8 inches to the length of the waist band, but I should not have to do that.Is is possible that this is mis-packaged? I submitted an e-mail to the seller two days ago and have had no response, will wait a couple more days and then decided what to do. 1
