Purchased from Warehouse Dealsbut froze them and ate them over several months.Taste: I liked the taste. Unfortunately, sometimes the non-toaster version of these cookies made me feel a bit nauseous after eating them, but when I put them in the toaster I rarely ever felt that sentiment.Purpose: These are good for an on the go bite or after meal treat, but for me these weren't enough to be a breakfast in and of itself.Fullness factor: I would need anywhere from 2 - 3 of these cookies to feel full, but then again I have an insanely large appetite (for those of you that are familiar with the Chicago area / deep dish pizzas, I almost ate a whole small deep dish by myself).Price: I bought these on warehouse deals so they were significantly cheaper, so I felt I got a great break on them, but at the normal price I'd be hard pressed (and I am) to buy them.I will say that if there is one meal I eat the least in, its breakfast and that is what I was treating these cookies for. I would say of the two flavors I had (Caramel Apple and Banana Walnut), the Caramel Apple was the better of the two.4a good start to your day-even when you don't have much time...This is one of my favorite in the Erin Baker line of Breakfast cookies, the cookie has an oatmeal base but is not a "heavy" cookie. It is nice and moist and has little pieces of caramel in the cookie. I like the fact that the cookie packs a lot in a little package- 280 calories for this cookie, no transfat, 20% of your daily fiber, no cholesterol and chock full of healthy ingredients to get you started (it does however have 23 gr. of sugar, so if you are looking for low sugar, this probably isn't for you). I have to say I was skeptical that this would carry me to lunch because it is just one large cookie, and not like one of those overly heavy, hockey puck like items you expect when you see something is full of fiber, it also didn't have that saw dust kind of texture you get from some power bars. This definitely has enough of the right stuff to keep me full for several hours. My favorite way to eat these cookies are to stick them in the microwave for 20-25 seconds so they get soft and the caramel melts just a little.I pretty much like all of the flavors, but overall this one is probably my most favorite. The other nice thing is that these cookies are meant to freeze and can freeze up to a year. The box of twelve cookies are all individually wrapped and I take them straight from freezer to microwave, for a quick, nutritious breakfast that is both satisfying and delicious.I'm happy to see that amazon seems to be carrying more of the Baker line, which also saves tremendously on the shipping costs!5:( to :)Original Review:Mold. They were even packaged with a thoughtful note and the employee I spoke to briefly on the phone (Jordan) was lovely - both kind and professional.Comparing the ingredients in these breakfast cookies with the ingredients in "breakfast" cookies by other brands, you can't help but respect and also feel a certain loyalty to this brand. Lately, I've noticed a bit of a trend re: companies that seem health oriented often having tricky ingredients and 'natural flavors' thrown into the mix. That's not the case here and I really appreciate EB's commitment to creating both yummy and (truly)healthy products.It looks like the heat caused a bit of a rare circumstance concerning my previous order, so I'll continue to subscribe to this product.5Gooey Caramel!My husband and I have tried to change our eating habits this year and part of that has been making sure we have something for breakfast. I don't know about everyone else, but we are not friends with our alarm clock. We have a slap fight every morning with it until we realize we must obey if we want to keep our jobs. Needless to say, there is no time for breakfast before we rush out the door.This is where these cookies come in very handy. The first time we bought them we kept them in our pantry (I think we bought 60 that time to try a variety of flavors). Unfortunately, by the time we reached the last dozen, they had gone bad and were a bit fuzzy. Now this is actually a good thing! Mold can't grow without moisture, so this tells you the cookies are moist! Because they are all natural and are not made with preservatives, it is only reasonable that they would have a shorter shelf life.Next order we popped a weeks worth in the fridge and put the rest in the freezer. We did this because my husband likes to eat them in morning traffic on his way to work so frozen cookies wouldn't work for him. I on the other hand work in a very small office so I brought a variety to work and put them in our freezer. In the morning I just pop one into the microwave for 45 seconds and I have a warm, tasty breakfast. I especially like the gooeyness of the melted caramel and chocolate from those varieties.At an average of 300 calories it is a good meal alternative and is very filling. It is a nice alternative to drinking a slim fast for breakfast, though I do sometimes still do Slimfast for breakfast and have a cookie for lunch.I would like to see them come in a variety dozen.[...]4I am not a chocolate person, but YUMI was hungry and I was the only one home. I opened one of the drawers in the kitchen and saw this Breakfast Cookie and Double Chocolate. I took a chance and opened it and was rewarded with YUM. Another bite and more YUM. Wow, so much flavor and so soft, moist and chewy. My indulgence was satisfied, but now I panicked. I had to replace the Breakfast cookie in the next 2 days. Luckily I found a 12-pack here on Amazon and it arrived the next day. Now I have a lot of YUM for a few weeks (if they last that long). Okay, I shared one with my daughter and she loved it as well. Looks like we'll be ordering another box or two in the future. YUM5Used to be great, but lately we've found moldI've been buying these cookies for several months as they were a nice quick and easy breakfast. Unfortunately, the quality seems to have declined. My husband found mold on a cookie that was months away from the use by date. We hoped it was a fluke, but the next couple he opened were also moldy. I have also noticed a lot of them have been more stale than usual. My husband no longer wants to order these for fear of more mold. I would like to think it was just a bad batch, but the cookies he found mold on were from different boxes. We wont be buying these anymore because it's really a bummer when you sit down with your coffee and food and find mold. :( YMMV, of course. Maybe we will try them again in the future.2MOLD! MOLD! MOLD!MOLD! DO NOT BUY!Erin, my dear, these cookies do not last in their packaging as long as you think they do. I think you should consider shortening your "Use by" dates. Look at all the reviews about mold. This is my fourth box of cookies that have had mold. I am sick of it! I demand a refund.1LOVE these cookies for breakfastI'm in the process of losing weight and these cookies help a LOT!! They are low in calories (for an entire meal) and fat but high in fiber and protein making them the perfect breakfast. I simply add a cup of tea and I'm ready for my day. They seem to stick with me pretty well. They are a moist, chewy cookie. Being Non-GMO is a huge plus for me. Having chocolate chunks in the cookies satisfies my chocolate cravings.5Moldy arrivalThis is the third box that we ve ordered where it has come in with mold growing on it. These were my daughters favorite for over a couple years now. He will not.(He had eaten the double chocolate Lenny and Larry cookies until he found out they were healthier, and then stopped eating them.)Consequently, I have eaten two myself and shared them with colleagues.The 3 star rating is because they do not taste chocolate at all to me. One of my colleagues said it had a very faint chocolate flavor.On the positive side, they are moist and are not too sweet. They do not have a bad flavor, just not a chocolate flavor. Perhaps the oatmeal raisin or another flavor would be quite good. If I found that the peanut flavor or another flavor of these cookies had a stronger flavor, I would buy them. I did like their texture and moist chewy quality. They did not taste bad, just not chocolate at all. But if I wanted a CHOCOLATE breakfast cookie, I would look instead at Lenny and Larry's.3
