Step 1: Use a supplied dropper to remove a small amount of liquid from a bottle and wet the suspected stain with 2-3 drops. Allow the liquid to soak into the fabric and proceed to step two before the fabric has dried.

Step 2: Using one of the supplied blotting papers, blot the entire wetted stain area, pushing down gently in different places, until the blotting paper is saturated. Set the blotting paper aside to dry. The blotting paper must be 100% dry prior to proceeding to step three.

Step 3: Mix the solution by using a supplied dropper to remove 10 ml of the liquid from the opened liquid bottle and empty the liquid from the dropper into the bottle with power reagent. Shake for at least 30 seconds to mix completely.

Step 4: Use the supplied dropper, remove a small amount of the mixed solution, and wet the blotting paper with 3 drops. Once you drop the mixed liquid onto the blotting paper start timing. The blotting paper will turn purple within 15 seconds if semen is present.
