Great product but the amount of Sodium is way to highI really like this product great price it does the JOB! and I would seriously give them 5 starts, but the amount of sodium in this product is deadly!!!! its over 400mg! for the first few days I was feeling very swollen my abdomen was just huge! I didn't know what was going on until I went and took a look at all my daily sodium intake and of course there were other things that made my intake high but this it just ridiculous high. I wish they would change the formula from more potassium and less sodium instead. I think they Whey has less, I might consider buying that one instead.Dear Bulks Supplement if you are reading please do this can you do this, change the formula, keep it effective but less sodium!!!??3Great product for a great priceI decided to try a plant based protein powder because I was having really bad skin and sinus reactions from whey protein. I found the Bulk Supplements pea protein and decided to give it a try because the price was great and the reviews were mostly good.If you are used to the highly sweetened/flavored protein powders on the market then this one might take some getting used to. I personally don t mind the earthy flavor but it can be a bit overwhelming at first but you get used to it and you can make it more palatable by adding in fruits and sweeteners.I only gave this product 4 stars because I couldn t seal the the pouch that the 1kg size comes in because the sealing area gets filled with the powder which makes it difficult to close. I transferred the powder to an old protein powder container I had. It also doesn t come with a scoop but I had a extra one so it wasn t much of an issue.Overall I will be purchasing this product again because you really can t beat the price and the sales team reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied with my order (I m a sucker for good customer service).4If you think everything that's good for you tastes great tooI ordered BulkSupplements Pure Pea Protein Powder (1 Kilogram) for my wife as she is an aspiring vegan. She has tried all kinds of vegan alternative protein powders over the past few years, that being said, she assures me that this Pea Protein from Bulk Supplements is one of her absolute favorites thus far.The taste is 8/10 - Mixed with water, this is from a scale that is from your Non-Sugar Filled regular proteins that you're so accustomed to. If you think everything that's good for you tastes great too, you're dead wrong. Rice Protein tastes slightly better than this product, but Hemp Protein tastes like crap compared.The Mix-ability is 9/10 - It really mixes well with water. She hasn't tried it with any other liquids as of yet.If you're a Vegan, or even a Carnivore, this is a pretty solid overall option for a Protein Powder. Especially if you're allergic to Dairy Products. Mix this protein with a Rice Protein and you have a nice Amino Acid Profile!5High quality pea protein!Very good protein. Easy to digest. Blends well. Switched over from another brand of pea protein. In the past I had used whey exclusively, but it always gave me a bloated feeling, and now I try to stay away from dairy since it doesn't agree with me. If you expect pea protein, or any other plant based protein powder to taste as good as whey, you will be disappointed. But, when I blend it with apple, banana, berries or even sweet potatoes this pea protein taste perfectly fine. I saved the plastic tub and scooper from my old protein supplement and use it for this one since it comes in a pouch. With this brand I get more product at a lower cost than my previous brand so I don't mind the packaging difference at all.5Not convinced it's realLike other reviewers, I bought the 1kg size a couple times and decided to go all-in on the 20kg bag. I received the 20kg bag which had been shipped directly from China. The taste of the powder from the 20kg bag was totally off - it had a distinct chemical-like taste to it. I emailed the company and asked for the lab report for the protein powder and they never got back to me.Given China's history of selling fake products and the supplier's inability to provide lab results, I'm not convinced that what I received is real pea protein powder. I would tread carefully.1Great plant based, non-soy proteinTasteless pea protein that's been doing me right. I've completely moved away from milk based proteins in the morning and this is one of my go to favorites! I also drink soy based protein sometimes but honestly, moving away from animal based proteins means I've started eating quite a bit of tofu and tempeh meals so getting an affordable protein that isn't more soy is a god send. This vendor is also currently offering free samples of all of the supplements they offer with every purchase, they send an email telling you how to get a sample after you order so you can try all kinds of supplements that you probably don't want to spend $20 on to find out you don't like them.5Excellent product and a great value.Price: This is pretty much as good a deal as you're going to get on protein. ~33 servings in a 1 kg bag for $18, and each serving has 24g of protein. That's 792 grams of protein total, which works out to around $0.02 per gram of protein. This is an outstanding value.Taste: It's pure pea protein, so the taste is pretty bland. A few reviewers have described the taste as being bitter or otherwise unpalatable, but that's not accurate. It's just bland, raw pea protein (which is the point). Remember, most of the pea protein powders you find at your local store are combined with other ingredients such as stevia, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, etc. to make the powder more flavorful and sweet (for double or triple the price, too). If you're used to those products then, if you try this, you may not like the taste since you're expecting the sweetened, chocolaty version of it. In any case, you can always add extra ingredients yourself. There are tons of recipes online; my personal favorite is peanut butter and a banana mixed with some almond milk in a blender. On most days though I just combine it with some almond milk or water in a shake cup and it's perfectly fine.Quality: The powder itself is homogeneous and easy to scoop, and it mixes pretty well with whatever I toss it in. The bag is durable and resealable, and doesn't take up unnecessary space. I haven't experienced any digestion issues, excessive burps/aftertaste, gas, defecation/fecal issues, or anything like that; everything seems to pass through as pea protein should, and there are no negative effects on energy (although one thing to consider is that I always drink protein after workouts/cardio and have a healthy digestive system). The only complaint I have is that the seal on the bag (similar to a Ziploc Pinch & Seal sandwich bag) does not seal well and easily comes apart. This could partly be due to powder blocking the seal, but it seems like the seal itself is undersized. That said a dust-off followed by a good pinch usually keeps it closed well enough for me; others may need to find a suitable container for storage.Other thoughts: -Be aware that there is no scoop in the bag. If you don't have a suitable scoop, there is a conversion chart on the back of the bag which converts tablespoons to grams (6 grams per tablespoon, 30 grams per serving, so 5 tablespoons per serving). -This protein is high in iron, which makes it a great daily supplement for vegans -Shortly after receiving my order I got an e-mail from BulkSupplements.com offering me a free sample of anything in their catalog. You may not be so lucky depending on when you're reading this, but it's something to keep in mind if you're planning on buying more than one of their products.5... product 5 or 6 times and have been very happy with itI have bought this product 5 or 6 times and have been very happy with it. This last time, something was wildly different about it. It is either oxidized, rancid, or simply very poor quality. I called the company directly and was told it was likely just a different supplier they have recently switched to. Now, I couldn't trust the quality to risk buying again. For a while, it was awesome though.1Versatile, No-frills ProteinGreat price for a 2lb bag and the texture of the powder is very velvety and blends well. This is a no-frills, unflavored protein powder with a mild vegetable taste to it. My morning shake always consists of spinach and blueberries, and the berries alone were not enough to cover the taste of the powder. Banana, almond butter, or a few tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder made these shakes more pleasant. Overall I would say it is worth buying again due to the excellent price and versatility for shakes (try different berries, cinnamon, chia seeds, nut butters, greens, etc). Be aware that the re-closeable zip top can be difficult, as som other reviews have stated. The pouch comes full to the top, so open it carefully near a sink in case powder spills out. Once open, you'll need to brush or blow the powder out of the zip track to get the bag to reseal. In the future I may save a tub from another protein brand to empty this powered into, because the bag just isn't very user friendly.4Makes super fartsThis product is made out of pea. Although a great plant based protein, this makes you so gassy and make you fart nonstop. I didn t even drink the whole shake, just take a sip and couldn t stop Farting. If you re OK with this then go for it but it made me feel super uncomfortable1
